Tapi mungkin bukan nature gua duduk diam-diam, gua lagi gemar mundar-mandir macam ni.
Tiba-tiba tekak rasa haus. Beli air sekejaplah kat Big 5. Sebagai lelaki yang mementingkan aspek kesihatan dalaman, gua memilih vitagen warna putih sebagai halwa tekak.
Tiba-tiba.....
"Sir, can i have one ringgit sir..." Seorang lelaki India beragama hindu menghampiri. Oh... Gua pernah jumpe uncle ni. Dah pernah wat entry pasal dia pun dulu.
"Cigarette?"
"No sir, seringgit..."
Ohh.. Gua keluarkan wallet, gua keluarkan sekeping duit biru. Gua check dulu untuk pastikan duit itu betul-betul seringgit, bukan seribu. Gua bagi sambil tersenyum.
"Thank you sir..." Uncle tadi membalas selepas menyambut seringgit yang gua hulur tadi. Dia tersenyum.
"I don't smoke sir. I only smoke once in a while. Once i a while only. Like once a week. Cuz i was a soldier. Not a normal soldier, i was a Commando." Uncle itu berkata.
Gua tersenyum. Tidak berapa nak percaya, tapi layan..
"Last time i killed...." Mengira dengan jari.... "I killed five people... They were communist in the jungle. I killed five..." Uncle tu sambung.
"I have been in so many places. (He named few army bases in Malaysia, but i can't remember). Now i'm old, i cannot already. I retired at quite young age.."
"When was it?" Eh, rajin pulak gua bertanya.
Mengira dengan jari.... "1978... Now i am 65."
"In our life, one thing we should remember. Don't steal... Don't steal... Don't you ever steal someone's right.
If you want something, you ask. Don't steal... Don't steal...
If you want rezki, ask from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. He is the Most Merciful.. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala bless us.
"Er... Uncle, are u a Muslim...?" Gua bertanya mahukan kepastian.
"No, i am a Hindu. But i know Islam. I have so many Muslim friends. They are all good. Very good, very nice. Just like you."
One Ustaz told me, don't steal. Ask from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala."
"I was a soldier sir... I was a soldier.."
"Those memories....."
And suddenly he cried...
"I'm sorry sir. " Uncle tadi bersuara. Wajah dia cuba tersenyum untuk sembunyikan kesedihan. Sambil mengesat mata, dia melangkah..
"Sir....!" Uncle tadi tiba-tiba kembali bersuara. Tangan diseluk ke poket, duit seringgit tadi dikeluarkan.
"This means a lot to me. Thank you very much. You are a good man.."
"No problem..." Gua membalas sambil tersenyum sambil melangkah ke kereta.
Sayup-sayup kedengaran suara imam membaca surah lazim. Mungkin sudah masuk rakaat kedua. Sesekali gua berdehem cuba menghilangkan sebak.
