Speed Date Invitation

I was invited to try Speed Date by one of my fren (as if im am desperate to find one.. Naaaa... Hihi..) Have u guys heard bout it before? I never thought that we have such event here in Malaysia. Interestingly, the Speed Date is organized for Muslims professional only. Let me share some background bout Speed Date (extracted from http://www.date-escalade.blogspot.com/)

What?

Speed dating is a dating system whose purpose is to encourage people to meet a large number of new people. Our version of speed dating involves a group of Muslim singles, that meet and date each other for 5 minutes, after which you can decide whether or not you would like to see them again, and you only get put in contact with the people that you want to meet who also want to meet you again – no more awkward phone calls and no having to avoid people you don’t like.

Who?

Single Muslim profesionals

Why?

This is a perfect event where you get the chance to get to know 10 people from the opposite gender and network with 9 other people from the same gender. The value of 10 dates for the price of 1?

Where?

Location will mostly be at restaurants which serve Halal food and non-alcoholic beverages. They will rotate the location for every event to keep the environment different and full of surprises!

Sounds interesting? For me, it sounds very2 interesting. I dont see any reason why I shud ignore this invitation. Nothin to lose... =)

Semalam ber sms dgn Mdm J. Bertanya khabar, sekadar ingin tahu hal hidup masing2. Mudah2 an masing2 sedang happy dengan haluan hidup masing2. SMS kita berasas dan rasional, sebagai kawan. Tapi jauh di lubuk hati, aku tersangat gembira..

Hari ni aku terjumpa suamimu di KL. TERSENTAP JANTUNG AKU, TERKEJUT. Ingin sekali mahu menegur. Tapi curiga samada salam ku akan dijawab. Cukuplah sekadar memerhati dari jauh. Perasaan bersalah tiba2 muncul, aku tahu kenapa.

Kisah 2:

Sebulan sudah aku mencari tarikh lahir Ms I. Puas aku menjenguk laman friendster kalau2 tertera anouncement birthday si dia. Niat untuk memberi kejutan sejambak bunga di hari lahir nya nnt. Bukan apa, sebagai timbal balas kejutan kek dan coklat yang kau bagi. Kejutan aku juga adalah untuk melunaskan budi, kerna aku ingin mengundur diri. Sebabnya biar aku sahaja yang tahu. Ini pun atas pandangan sahabat2 yang lebih memahami.

Hari ini aku semak lagi halaman friendster. Tak pernah jemu, seperti biasa. TERSENTAP JANTUNG AKU, TERKEJUT, baru aku tahu tarikh lahir kau jatuh pada hari yang sama dengan Mdm J.

Danga Beach at Danga Bay

Lets talk bout this cool lepaking spot in JB. Danga Beach at Danga Bay. For those who don't know what the heck is this place, let me introduce you on Danga Bay first la ya..

Danga Bay is the largest recreational park in the city of Johor Bahru. It is located near Istana Bukit Serene, about 7 km from Johor Bahru's city center. Many interesting events are held there especially during festive seasons.

Danga Bay is also referred to as Teluk Danga, the Malay name. Sounds weird aite? I think Danga Bay sounds better... Operates until midnight. You can shop here, makan here or maybe just browsing around. Ada funfair, stalls, shoppin mall. It is a place for those people yang memang tak reti tido punye type.

There are few makan places here in Danga Bay. If you are the fan of life band or instrumental group, you should look for Danga Beach restaurant. Located right in front of the Leaf restaurant, Danga Beach serves you the coolest band i have ever seen, plus the food la, of course. Im not sure bout the food, but the scenery, the music, gerek beb... Depan you ade pantai... coconut tree... Angin bayu sepoi2... Plus the beautiful songs.. fuh~ Most of the songs are in English, but they also play Malay, Chinese, Thai and Spanish songs as well. You can request for a song, just pass a note to the waiter, and if you are lucky, the will play for you. I mean the band la, not the waiter.

Those guys who are looking for chicks (gua tau la perangai lu), you can easily find them here. Seriuously JB chicks are pretty and hot. I think i should come here more often. Huhu... Thanks to Umar and Kojat for the day. Panjang umur jumpa lagi.

A cancelled dinner... again...

Im not sure whether you guys are sensitive bout the term "janji" and how will you appreciate the "temu janji dinner" that u have planned in advance with someone that you consider as "someone".

It has been a very disappointing night for me. I know it is just a dinner, but for me it is more than just fulfilling your nafsu makan and your empty stomach. If I am hungry, i can always grab few pieces of crackers from the pantry or take a break at Ali Maju downstairs.

I dont mind if the "someone" is too busy with something. Or the something always pop up right before 9pm everytime we plan for the dinner. But at least update me... Please...

Bila Atuk Dah Ade Calon...

"Dah tgk orang nya? Ok tak?"

"Budak nya belajar lagi tu. Cantik atuk tengok orangnye... Lembut.."

"Eh... Amil dah ade kawan ke..? Oh... Abah kate amil takde kawan lagi. Orang mane?"

"Bukan ape... Atuk suka dengan keluarga dia. Diorg semua orang baik2. Lagi pun dekat ngan atuk"

"Nanti fikir2 kan lah ye. Tapi atuk suka kalu amil terima. Sebab dekat dengan atuk..."

Note: Dialog di antara seorang atuk (perempuan) dan cucu yang baik (empunya blog) ini dipetik pada petang hari raya ke-3. Kesudahan cerita ini masih belum ada. Aku terpaksa mencipta satu imaginary girlfren untuk menyelamatkan diri. Ligat minda mencari maklumat dan lidah menuturkan jawapan spontan.

Ade seorg yang terlintas di fikiran aku pada masa itu. Habis latar belakang keluarga nya aku pinjam agar maklumat yang sampai sekurang-kurang nye sedap didengar. Yang penting susur galurnya biar dari Johor, mudah sikit untuk mendapat persepsi natural. Putar sana, putar sini.. Terlepas juga akhirnya... Fewh~

Namun begitu, riak wajah atuk yang agak kecewa menyebabkan aku rasa terharu. Agak sedih kerana aku seolah2 tidak menyokong pilihan nya. Sori tok, cucu mu ini sebenarnya kurang bersedia... Jangan marah ye tok... Peace tok! =)

Panggilan itu Lullaby Hariku

Suara itu masih enak seperti dahulu, tidak serak, tidak juga terlalu melayu. Cukup untuk menjadi halwa telinga terus turun ke lubuk kalbu.

Suara itu masih pandai berceloteh dengan irama mendayu. Tidak pernah aku jemu, selalu aku tertunggu-tunggu.

Suara itu masih keanak-anakan, menunjukkan empunyanya sentiasa gembira, sentiasa ceria, sentiasa bahagia.

Terima kasih kerana panggilan yang walau hanya bertanyakan khabar, tapi aku sangat menghargainya lebih dari apa yang perlu aku hargai. Aku agak ketidaktentuan, tapi aku gembira. =)
